Eva Amurri was born on March 15, 1985 in New York City. She grew up in a family of Hollywood royalty, including her Italian filmmaker dad Franco Amurri, actress mother Susan Sarandon, step-father actor/director Tim Robbins, TV writers aunt Valentina Amurri and grandfather Antonio Amurri. Eva is of Welsh and Italian descent.

Amurri started working alongside her mom and former step-dad Tim Robbins in films at age 7.
